BIODIGRADABLE MASTERBATCH

The term ‘Oxo-biodegradability’ is a hybridisation of two words; oxidation and biodegradability.

Polymers are subject to attack from various outside sources throughout their life cycle, during processing and the end use application. Degradation which primarily consists of a change in the molecular weight characteristics of a polymer, can manifest itself in a variety of forms. Antioxidant, required to protect polymers from oxidative degradation during processing and end use, are typically added by resin producers as part their manufacturing process.

These Masterbatches are based on Fluoropolymers and are widely recommended for improving the processibility of polymers at higher shear rates.These are formulated to form a microscopic dispersed phase within the polymer carrier.
